Performer Refutes Anti-Vax Stance Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Coronavirus Feature
Liam Neeson has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that questions the efficacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- government figure RFK Jr.
The Feature's Disputed Foundation
Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was linked to a problematic version of the influenza shot.
The publication's writing partner, a producer, has penned books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. Heckenlively wrote online praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.
A Strong Denial
The team of Neeson have issued a response strongly denying implications that he supports anti-immunization beliefs.
"Many recognize that unethical practices can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "Neeson is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef highlights his consistent support for public-health initiatives."
The statement continued that the performer had no hand in the project's editorial content and that questions about its content should be directed to the producers.
Central Themes Featured in the Film
As presented, the script read by Neeson features several strong claims:
- It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
- It posits that "research has become highly influenced by politics."
- Kennedy is featured stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
- The film further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
- Concerning the immunizations, it references a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."
Past Context and Ongoing Disputes
It further cites a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the focus of a correction by the network for violations of guidelines.
Last month, the political figure directed the CDC to change its longstanding position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is also referenced in the film, contrary to a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation reiterating no evidence has been found.
A Past Statement of Support
Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly voiced strong support for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.
In 2022, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."
"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This is not the conclusion of our story. It is the beginning of a different phase."
